    Lots of people talk about the DIY divorce and whether it’s cheaper or better for them to do it themselves but there are some big dangers to consider. One would be that the divorce forms themselves are quite complicated and if they are not completed correctly they can be returned by the Court which causes more delay and stress and sometimes more expense.

    The other thing to consider is that the divorce itself doesn’t bring an end to financial obligations and as well as getting divorced you want to make sure that you deal with all the financial ties to make sure that there is no potential claim from your spouse later on in years to come especially if you win the lottery and then your husband or wife tries to claim a share of that because you haven’t crossed out those financial claims by dealing with the divorce properly and a solicitor can help you with that.
